Hey there rebel ideapreneurs 🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️

Eli writes a weekly newsletter about making great coffee at home.
Not barista snobbery — just simple ways to brew a cup you actually look forward to.

He's sure a good morning coffee shouldn't need a $900 machine or a chemistry degree.

His readers live it every morning — a lonely drip machine and a hunch they could do better.

⛳️ Problem:

Eli pours real work into every issue, and it's genuinely good.
Then he hits send, and it lands in front of the same forty people, week after week.

He keeps posting, keeps hoping, and the reader count barely moves. We've all been there.

His struggle:
He publishes into the void, so no matter how good the issue is, nobody new finds it.

🔥 The recipe

➡️ The Dream 100

Imagine you're trying to sell homemade cookies.
You could stand on an empty street corner, shouting, hoping someone walks by.

Or you could set up a table at the county fair, where thousands of hungry people already are.

Same cookies. Wildly different results.
Most creators pick the empty corner — posting into the void, waiting to be found.

That's the trap Russell Brunson beat.
He co-founded ClickFunnels, a software company that reportedly makes over $100 million a year.

He built it with no investors, mostly by getting in front of audiences that already existed.

His fix has a name — the Dream 100 — a strategy he adapted from a salesman named Chet Holmes.
The idea: don't build an audience from zero. Find the roughly 100 places your people already gather.

Then show up there — as a guest, a helper, a collaborator — instead of shouting alone.

Those places already exist for your exact reader: podcasts, newsletters, groups, channels.
Walk into the party. Don't keep shouting on the empty corner.

🚗 So Eli tried it his way.

Recall Eli and his newsletter about making great coffee at home?
He'd been posting into the void for months, and almost nobody was reading.

So he built his own Dream 100 instead.

Before, he published each issue and just hoped strangers would somehow stumble onto it.
Now he listed the places coffee lovers already gather — two coffee subreddits, a few YouTube channels, two bigger coffee newsletters.

Instead of selling anything, he showed up to help: answering brewing questions, sharing one genuinely useful tip.

One of those newsletter writers noticed, and invited Eli to write a guest issue.
Spoiler: that single guest spot brought him more new readers in a day than his last three months combined.

He didn't find readers by shouting louder.
He found them by walking into the rooms where they were already sitting. Bingo.

🧸 Stop shouting on an empty corner. Go where your readers already gather, and show up to help.

The prompt below builds your Dream 100 — the rooms your readers are already in.
You just tell it your topic and who you're trying to reach.

🏄‍♀️ The prompt

  1. Save this prompt as a Skill or add to Project in your favorite AI tool — build once, use often.

  2. Update your input values in the prompt, or just run it as is. Your AI sidekick will use the example values and give you an output.

CONTEXT:
- (use what's available, fall back to the inline values)
- If my Voice Profile exists, write in that voice. Otherwise, write in a clear, warm, no-jargon voice — first-person, plain words, no startup-speak.
- If my ICP / Audience doc exists, target that reader. Otherwise, use the audience below.

Inputs:

My topic and the exact reader I want (who they are, what they're into):
{e.g. home-coffee beginners who want a better morning cup without expensive gear}

Where I post now (the places my stuff currently goes, even if it's quiet):
{e.g. my own small newsletter and an X account with 200 followers}

What I could genuinely offer as a guest or helper (a tip, a teardown, an answer, a collab):
{e.g. a simple "better coffee in 5 minutes" guide, and honest answers to beginner questions}

For Audience: {e.g. people with a cheap drip machine who think good coffee is out of reach}

For Outcome: {e.g. a Dream 100 list and the first 10 rooms to show up in this month}

Outputs:
1. My Dream 100, by type — the categories of places my reader already gathers (podcasts, newsletters, subreddits, YouTube channels, groups, forums), with 3-5 real-sounding examples in each to go find.
2. The first 10 to start — the highest-value rooms to show up in first, ranked, with why each one fits my reader.
3. The show-up move (not the sell) — for the top 3, exactly how to add value first (the question to answer, the tip to share, the collab to pitch) so I'm welcomed, not ignored.
4. My first outreach — a short, human message I could send one newsletter or channel owner this week to start a real relationship.

Then name the ONE thing I keep doing that's just "shouting on the empty corner" — and what to do instead.

That's it, my fellow doers!
